Kerri Stewart came into golf late in life, at the age of 51. She reluctantly discovered golf during COVID because at the time there was NOTHING ELSE to do. Little did she know she would be hooked after her first time on the range. Finally, after all this time Kerri had found her passion, which developed into an endless pursuit to be better and explore all that golf could bring into her life. Her journey to get better at golf is a constant, but she focuses on the importance of instruction and immersing herself in golf. This has led to her volunteering at her local golf courses as a marshall and assisting with the First Tee program. Golf has unfolded in her life in ways that she could never have imagined and it's constantly creating opportunities to live life better. Kerri was born in Illinois, raised in Denver, and came to Northern California on a basketball scholarship to Santa Clara University, graduating with a degree in Finance. It was during her senior year that she and her team won the Women's National Invitational Tournament. The competitive spirit still resides in her, and although the LPGA is not in her sights, winning a few local tournaments and skins is definitely in her game plan. Kerri understands that sometimes it's hard to find a female golf tribe. She was fortunate to find a great group of women to golf with but still saw a need to have a local club that has a presence in the local golf community. Her goal is to continue to grow golf in her area for women and youth and create influence. That's when she sought out starting a Diamonds on the Green chapter and was fortunate to team up with a friend from her original golf tribe, Michele Bell, to ride out this journey together.

"Greetings! My name is Michele Bell. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California (Proud Crenshaw High School Graduate). I went to college in Northern California and earned my Bachelor's degree from UC Davis. After I graduated from college I got married to my college sweetheart, started a family, and settled down in Elk Grove, California. I am currently an Analyst for the State of California, but prior to my current position, I was in the field of Social Worker for 20 years. I love helping families and being a voice of encouragement and support for those in need. There's no greater professional joy than to see families correct mistakes and become whole again. I am new to golf. I started playing golf as a way to help me to deal with the significant loss of the patriarch of our family, my father. Golf has brought so much joy back into my life in spite of my grief. It has allowed me to spend time looking at beautiful sceneries, spend time outdoors, meet new people and get back active. I am so excited to be a part of the Diamonds on the Green Family and I look forward to spending time on the Green with my new golf sisters."
