LaJetta Wright
California Chapter
President

Early on, LaJetta knew that there was life beyond South Memphis, so it came as no surprise that she was on the "first thang smoking" upon graduating from high school. She enlisted in the Navy which landed her in beautiful sunny California where she trained to become an Air Traffic Controller. She later enrolled at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and obtained her Bachelor's degree. After graduating from Dominguez Hills, Lajetta now had her eyes set on law school. With Philippians 4:13 serving as the anthem of her life, Lajetta knew without a shadow of a doubt that she could do all things through Christ who gave her strength. LaJetta went on to finish law school and worked in Administrative law for 20 years. She made partner at her firm and served in this capacity for a year prior to her recent appointment as an Administrative Law Judge with the California Unemployment Appeals Board. She has 3 wonderful kids Katherine 18, Katelin 16 and Daniel 14. LaJetta's love for the game of golf came after graduating from Law school. In spite of playing some really great courses, she still has room to grow! She is very excited to become a member of the Diamonds on the Green and to grow the Southern California chapter!

Mary Thomas
California Chapter
Vice President

Hello to Everyone. My name is Mary Thomas-Bennett, and I am the 18-year wife of a wonderful man and the proud mother of a lovely 18-year-old daughter. My daughter is upcoming Freshman at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). My husband is the manager at Flying Ember a beer brewing company.
After 25 years of honorably and proudly serving my nation, I left the U.S. Army in April 2017. I currently work for the US Navy as a federal government civilian.
I have a BS in Business Administration from Grantham State University, a Master's in Business Administration from Grantham state University, and a BS in Leadership Management from the University of La Verne.
I'm also now pursuing a Master's in Leadership Management from the University of La Verne. During my time in the military, I was introduced to the amazing game of golf and have been playing it ever since.
I didn't play as frequently as I would have liked to, but since I retired, I've started playing the game I love again. The fact that you can't win at golf is what makes it so appealing to me. The idea that I can even maneuver that small a ball to that small a target from that far away blows my mind a little bit every time I think about it, so I love that it's challenging and I appreciate pushing myself to discover methods to get as good as I can.
I look forward to being a part of the DOTG California Chapter!!!
